Davya Flaharty's victory in the Run of the Valkyries 8Km propelled her to the top spot in the RCN/Flint Hills Cup series rankings.  Flaharty's 100-point effort gives her a 70-point lead over Tok's Charity Walker, who did not enter the Run of the Valkyries.

You can view overall and class rankings, as well as a list of all those who have completed all the Cup races to date by clicking on the RCN Cup Rankings menu item on the left.

Chris Eversman (220) and Jason Walker (185) remained first and second in the men's rankings, despite not participating in the Valkrie run.  The next four runners in the rankings all raced in the Run of the Valkries.  North Pole's Gavin DeWilde is third at 168, Norm Alden fourth with 146, Glenn Thompson fifth with 111 and Zachery Lord sixth at 104.

Jana Benedix has the same number of points (200) as Charity Walker, but is ranked third because Walker's best result (1st) is better than Benedix' best result (2nd).  Dorli McWayne is fourth at 191, 20 points more than fifth-ranked Jane Lanford.

McWayne is the fastest of the 21 women runners who have finished all four Flint Hills Cup races held to date (CRR, MSR, FHMI, VKY), with a combined time of 1:43:49, about two-and-a-half minutes faster than Jane Lanford.  Erika Van Flein is just less than two minutes behind Lanford.

Norm Alden has the best combined time for men -- 93 mintues and 15 seconds.  His total is just more than four minutes ahead of Bruce Gard, and almost six minutes ahead of Bob Baker.  Twenty-three men have completed all the races thus far.
