This is the fastest we have ever waded through the Midnight Sun Run results and published complete results to the web. Getting through the data this quickly means that the data was of very high quality. That doesn't happen without a large group effort.
Here are some of the people that deserve your thanks: Chute A (closest to the riverboat): - Posting/Select Timing: Carol Haas
- Plunging: Lisa Morris & Rhonda Gilbertson
- Barcode Crew: Holly Odegard, Libby Burgess, Caroline Brown
Chute B (center chute) - Posting/Select Timing: Scott Jerome
- Plunging: Ben Nelson & Gin Parrish
- Barcode Crew: Kat Betters, Karoline Davis, Jennifer Schmidt
Chute C (closest to Civic Center) - Posting/Select Timing: Pete Leonard
- Plunging: Norma Haubenstock & Ann Farris
- Barcode Crew: Nick Crawford, Lily Morse, Susan Faulkner
Out in front of the finish line was Scott Berg, who did a great job of distributing the traffic relatively equally to all chutes, encouraging the runners, and ejecting "bandit" runners. Big thanks also to Ernie Page of Summit Timing Systems of Salt Lake City, Utah, who has come to Fairbanks and helped with MSR timing for the past eight years, and lent considerable time, effort, hardware and software to the project. It's a good thing he likes Fairbanks. Special Thanks to Liz Wood for managing the chutes and the barcode operations. I'd like to also thank the EXCELLENT (BEST EVER!) work of the "People Movers" -- the people who stood in between the chutes and made sure (or tried their best to make sure) that the runners, after crossing the finish line, stayed in their finish order, kept moving, and stayed in their original chutes. Because of their good work, we had the least amount of chute passing, chute jumping, and chute exiting that we have ever had. I wish I had more names, but rather than just mention a few, I'll say thanks to all. Thank yous also go out to Vince Fantazzi and Susan ______ who helped set up the finish chutes. |
