Raphaela Sieber, in her first event as a scoring member of a UAF team, and teammate Theresia "Te-Te" Schnurr, placed 2-4 and led the Alaska Nanook Cross Country Running team to a victory over Seattle Pacific University and Northwest Nazarene University Thursday afternoon on the West Ridge Trails on the UAF Campus. |

West Valley's Molly Callahan was the individual girls' champ, but the Colony Knights took the girls' team title in Saturday's Interior Invitational. Lathrop's Kyle Hanson came on strong to capture the top spot in the boys' race, but the West Valley Wolfpack won team honors.  Former Lathrop HS standout David Dyer became the sixth winner in six Flint Hills Cup races, knocking off Flint Hills Cup series leader Chris Eversman by just over three seconds a mile, 1:14:53 to 1:15:34. Melissa Lewis won the women's race -- the fifth winner in six races -- by more than eight minutes: 1:30:06 to Dorli McWayne's 1:38:17.
